The Salon Series at The Dorchester
As an official hotel partner of Frieze London 2026, we’re delighted to launch The Salon Series – a collection of intimate gatherings and conversations with some of the art world’s most influential figures.
Across three insightful talks in three iconic spaces, the series is a nod to the 1940s when the city’s elite hosted private soirées in The Dorchester’s suites. By reviving this legacy, The Salon Series offers an informal yet exclusive glimpse into the art world in settings rooted in craftsmanship, heritage and style.

October 12
Valeria Napoleone
Opening during Frieze London 2026 and hosted in the Oliver Messel Terrace Suite, our first conversation is with Valeria Napoleone, a pioneering art collector whose extraordinary collection is devoted entirely to contemporary female artists.

November 9
Christian Levett
Our second conversation is with Christian Levett, a distinguished collector and founder of FAMM, Europe's first museum dedicated to celebrating women artists. Situated in Oliver Messel, this morning event focuses on 'the art of building a collection with purpose'.

December 7
Dr Christina Makris
Our final conversation takes place at Oliver Messel with Dr Christina Makris on 'the culture of taste'. As the author of Aesthetic Dining: The Art Restaurant Around the World, Dr Christina Makris is an expert on the relationship between hospitality and art, and questions what happens when they come together.
